Construction hoarding board designs for Yedikule Fortress restoration works
The story of the fortress began in the early 5th century by II.Theodosios, who strengthened the Byzantine walls and built a magnificent gate here. In the 14th century, this place was turned into a castle with the walls built around, and the magnificent gate was gradually reduced in size to increase security. Then, Fatih Sultan Mehmet added 3 more towers to the 4 towers in this castle, completing the seven towers. And here is fortress with seven towers: "Yedikule Hisarı"
Until today, this giant historical building has been used as a storage, prison, district, garden, school and other functions. In 2020, restoration works started. People visits the fortress, in the same time restoration works continues.

I designed informative hoarding boards for restoration areas of the fortress
1- Timeline design "From Byzantium to Today"
2- The Golden Gates "Porta Aurea"
3- Reconstruction of Fatih Masjid
and for towers, stairs and entrance door

I redrawn an old picture depicting Yedikule Fortress in a fairy-tale atmosphere (unknown artist, probably 18-19th century). We exhibited this illustration in various parts of the fortress, with the idea that it reflects the history and spirit of the fortress very well.
